I was going to write about how my friend is so very angry with me right now, but I'm not. We all process our grief in different ways and it is very important for me to get back outside and walking. We did our first walk last night in a long time - almost four months, so went to the park where you've all seen so many pictures and just sat in the grass reflecting and honoring memories. Shasta is lost without her big brother, she sits in his bed during the day, but doesn't sleep in it at night. She doesn't want to play.
My numbers are a little off, I haven't been eating any veggies this week, but I have been eating some fruit. Need to get my stuff together for an hour's trek up north into the coastal mountains. Everything will work out the way it's intended to. It's a gorgeous Sunday morning, I wish you all peace and happiness this day.

My daughter rescues senior dogs with terminal diseases. She has a large yellow lab and another dog, a 6 lb. Little rat dog of some type of her own. Homeliest little thing. The first time the rescue dog died, everyone grieved, my daughter, her husband and their two dogs. But after about 2 weeks she brought out that third leash and told the dogs to get into the car and they all went down to pickup the newest family member. Now the dogs seem to understand that these new dogs are special. They are very kind to them, share their treats, accept the musical beds, depending on the size of the new dog and are EXTREMELY protective of them. Now when one passes away and Devin brings out that third leash they head to the car and can hardly contain their excitement on the drive to the rescue center. They got a new dog this week but not an I’ll dog. This one is one of 4000 Beagles that were rescued. So now there is a permanent new member of their family.

I just read about your losing Hogan. I'm deeply sorry for your pain. I believe all dogs go to heaven and he's probably playfully wrestling with mine over pizza crusts. ❣️

I am so sorry for your loss🙏🐾💙 I’m a fur mom and I can’t imagine what your going through .. I do know the love we feel for our fur babies is like no other .. I pray you find comfort and always remember Hogan is with you always 🌈🐾🙏🙏💙💙 heaven is right above us we only need to look up 🌅🌈🐾💙

Dogs grieve loss of loved ones similar to us. We just had to put our 14.5 yo dog down. Before that, she grieved our other dog, who got suddenly I'll and there was nothing that could be done. Take your time, comfort yourself and your other grieving babies. Sending 🤗
