Gradually making positive changes that will hopefully result in my losing weight in a steady and healthy way. First steps this week and a half have been to completely stop drinking pop. As someone who has a Mountain Dew addiction of a 2 liter a day, this is a huge and difficult deal for me. My son is doing this also and we have both been pop free for ten days. We are working through the not-so-great foods in the house. The snack stuff I threw away, but I can't afford to throw out meals. I want to get to the point where we don't eat anything that comes from a box....meaning no hamburger helper, mac and cheese, instant potatoes. I am eating a lot more raw veggies to replace snacks like chips. Lost 2 pounds so far. I thought the sheer loss of the empty pop calories and increased water intake would result in more, but I will take it.
