meonadiet's Journal, 26 May 2014

Last week was a pretty good week for me in terms of both food and exercise. BUT out Saturday night (beer) and then Sunday had pasta...probably too much. Maybe, I really need to watch the carbs. Starting next week in June I'll look at switching my food up for more protein and less carbs.

Such a pain getting older. I have to be good all the time. I use to be able to cheat more on the weekends. Those days are gone.
162.5 lb Lost so far: 9.7 lb.    Still to go: 22.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I totally feel ya! Back in my teens, I could stay on track all throughout the weekdays, cheat on the weekend, and still manage to either lose or maintain (no gain). Now, god forbid I cheat even a few meals -- the weight's going up! Boo...

I found that when I cut out the "white stuff", including added salt, sugar and flour, my weight came off quite quickly. It was hard at first but got easier as time went by. After my challenge was over, I slackened up and gained weight again unfortunately. That was where the challenge was really helpful and helped me stay more focused. I've resumed the "no white stuff" (just started again this week) with my new challenge and although I have to say I've cheated a bit, but I'm back on track I hope. Good luck in cutting back on the carbs. It really helps.
