Kiki8123's Journal, 04 April 2014

Happy with the loss but yet also frustrating that it's going so slow. I even amped up the exercise and did well with food (although I'm sure I could've done much better with veggies and the combinations of food I'm eating). I will try to focus on that next week. Just goes to show I can't stop now - if I did it'd just be harder the older I get (I think I'm a tad depressed cause I've always lost so much faster all the other times I've decided to lose and probably because I haven't had my coffee yet). 😁

Enough negative - it's Friday and I lost weight! Heading with my mom to visit sister in Sacramento this weekend. No boys! Have a great day everyone!

I'll trade you weekly losses lol. Thats just the way it goes sometimes, put it behind you and move on. No sense in being frustrated, the scale does not negotiate. .. trust me. 1.2 is a good solid loss, it was probably more but you have to factor water retention due to muscle repair, the weight in your gi tract, and the astrological position of the stars in relation to the speed limit on your street. All of those factors will effect the reading your scale gives you. lol

Some times things out of our control, like the universe, come in and screw what should have been a bigger loss. I deal with it daily and I am sick of it! Last night the cosmic universe dropped 10 inches of snow on us! That is in April mind you and it was not April's fools day either...

I see little point in complaining about something which nobody can do anything about. If I had so much snow I would be out having fun in it. If I lost .6 kg I would rejoice. If I woke of a morning I would be happy so many people don't get that privilege. To be positive a weight loss of .6 is a positive thing as it should be giving you incentive to do better next time so GO GIRL GO, slay those KG's knock em off as best ya can.

Kiki. I doubt you lost faster before. We remember things differently. The brain doesn't do well with time. As to not having had your morning coffee... shame on you. Go get it.

Slow is good! It means it will be more permanent and is likely fat loss and not muscle, water, etc. Here are two clichéd quotes for you: "Slow and steady wins the race" and "Progress, not Perfection." You're doing great. I was worried about going so slow along my way so far but looking back and seeing I'm about over 50 lbs. lighter than I was in January 2013 is a real accomplishment! Time will fly by and all those 1/2 and 1 lb. increments will add up to one hot new Kiki. :) Have fun with your girls' weekend and give K and your mom my love. Take care.

Thanks, everyone. Think I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this am. Feeling much better about the loss and even felt good in clothes that were a bit looser today. Yay! And Bill (Draglist), yes that was on my new Tanita. When I weighed the night before on it, it was higher than usual scale (which was understandable after dinner and long day), so was happy with that result. What I wasn't happy with was all the other info it provided me as I've been hiding my head in the sand for some time. For example, got two plus signs (aka I'm considered obese). Well, now, I knew that based on all I've read but to see it ther in black and white - ugh. AND - my metabolic age is.......50!!!! (Recall that I just turned 47). A bit of a slap in the face since although I'm overweight, I've maintained an active lifestyle (cycling and on a co-ed softball team) throughout my weight gain. Just goes to show how we ignore the truth when we want to. SO, I'm motivated to see those plus signs go away and to reduce the metabolic age as I get healthier. I'm still glad I purchased and it just gives me more motivation to kick some butt with my former fat self! Oh, P.S., I'm officially robbing the cradle. My husband who is maybe 145 slacking wet and has never had a weight problem in his life has a metabolic age of 16!!!!
