I am married, almost 20 years, with 2 kids (son age 15 and daughter age 11). I work full time in advertising/marketing in Southern California. I have had a lifetime struggle with weight, seriously, since about age 7 or 8. I'm so tired of the battle and feeling like I'm missing so much of life that's out there. My 2013 goal is to reach and exceed my lowest weight as an adult that I can remember (235 lbs., which was 20 years ago).
I was just revisiting this page and realized I have met and exceeded my 2013 goal already. It's late September and I weigh 227. I recently conquered my high blood pressure and my doctor took me off medication that I have been on for over 11 years. I also just bought a new pair of jeans in size 16 which I haven't worn since the early 90's when I met my husband. I feel like this is the year of finding ME, sort of like I've been a big slab of unshapely marble and now I'm sculpting out the me that I am supposed to be. Healthy eating and exercise has done wonders for me so far, and I can't wait to see how much healthier I can be by the end if 2013!
6th Goal: 215 by Christmas 12-25-13
5th Goal: 220 by my birthday, 11-25-13 (reached 11-10-13, down 50 lbs.)
4th Goal: 220 by Halloween 10-31-13 (did not reach)
3rd Goal: 230 by Labor Day 9-2-13 (reached 9-1-13, down 40 lbs.)
2nd Goal: 235 by Labor Day 9-2-13 (reached 8-4-13, down 35 lbs.)
1st Goal: 235 by summer vacation 6-22-13 (did not reach)
