I didn't budge in my weight in the last few days. But I will! I'm doing what I need to do. So I'm not discouraged. It's just a normal plateau. But I've been trying to eat less frivolously, by focusing on balanced meals. It really helps! I need it, especially with the amount of treadmilling I've been doing. If I don't make sure to eat the right amounts of protein and carbs, I get really tired! But I think I'm on the right track.

Today I treadmilled for 90 minutes, 5.48 miles.

This evening I became really hungry, and my husband was cooking. I handled it pretty well. But I ate more than I had wanted to. I ate half 1/4 hamburger, some salmon, creamed spinach, buttered green beans, a pudding, steak, and a little bread. It sounds like more than it is because everything was little bites. I'm not stuffed. I'm not going to try to put all the calories in the food calendar. That's why I listed it here.

At night I overate. No happy face.

Sounds good!! You know what you gotta do and you're doing it. How about mixing up long treadmill days with shorter ones? Do you run or walk or both? Mix the workouts up a little bit. Give your body a little shock.

Or look at the interval training stuff in the newest South Beach book or in Fit or Fat? Or you could do what I do--break your routine into multiple times per day. I do it because of chronic illness but there are some studies showing that it has a positive impact on metabolisms especially for women.

I'd go crazy if I took my daily weigh-ins seriously! They are everywhere! It's the long-term that counts, and your chart shows you're doing great! Way to go!
