GayeQuin's Journal, 30 January 2014

So I am starving at night. Tonight I waited till 7pm to have dinner. It made no difference. Still just as hungry after dinner as before. I was not hungry at all from 7 am until 5:30 pm, even though I had nothing but cheese and salad with no dressing.

It sounds like the reason you're so hungry at night is because you're basically starving yourself the entire day and your body has come to learn that nighttime is when it gets fed. Sort of like that cat that hears the can opener and won't stop crying until you feed it. If you ate more regularly and didn't put your body through this starve and feed cycle, it would learn that it's always going to get something and the nigthtime hunger would become more manageable. If you're trying to keep your consumption low (just a guess since you've basically admitted you had nothing but cheese and grass until 7p), feed your body every 2 hours. They don't have to be huge meals. But you wouldn't have posted this if you weren't hoping to find a solution that works :)

That's my problem as well. I try not to eat after 8 pm but by 10 pm it feels like I haven't eaten all day. So I started eating carrots or celery for a snack at night. It helps but now I have to fine other snacks so I don't burn my self out. So if there are any other tips for cravings at night let me know. But don't let that get you down its all part of the process. Just know you are not alone.
