MrsJones's Journal, 15 January 2014

I've been trying to get back focused, one meal at a time. I woke up feeling a little bloated, so I have started with water today. I will have a shake for breakfast, and limit snacking later this evening. Protein up, get that fat content down a little. Didn't get to the gym this morning but I will attend the Remix weight class tonight. Then maybe if I'm up to it I can go for a run afterwards. My goal is by this time next week to get under 190...which should be no problem. I'm still feeling fat....gotta get hungry to see some excellent results, I'm almost ready to go the extra mile. Going to stay dedicated and focused!!

Before I give advice---Are you following Atkins? If you aren't, then please disregard the advice below... I took a look through a few days of your menu. I'm totally not trying to sound hard at all. I'm just worried about you! If you are trying to follow Atkins you are SEVERELY missing the boat. You current menu is severely lacking in VEGGIES VEGGIES VEGGIES. A HUGE amount of your food should be from veggies. Induction is 20 NET carbs per day, not less, with 12-15 of them coming from veggies. Total Carbs - Fiber = NET carbs. Your body will NOT be healthy, and you will NOT be following Atkins if you don't include a huge amount of of veggies every single day. Also, the guideline for women following Atkins is 1500-1800 calories per day. So, if you want to have lifetime success at keeping your body incredibly healthy and keeping your weight off, then you MUST follow Atkins as written. You body will adore you for it!

Thanks CRM1981 yes I'm on Atkins and yes veggies are the issue, I'm trying to add more to the diet finding the prep time is hard with my lifestyle, but necessary. I have identified it and will be trying to incorporate more.
