I am getting so frustrated. I am following a good diet and exercising and the scale is not moving. I went to my doctor's who told me I have high cholesterol. She sent me to this website that basically outlines the diet I already follow. thanks doctor! you agree that I can an enormous amount of weight over the past year but when it's not my thyroid, you abandon me.
173.2 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 43.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You might need to play around with the calories. Maybe try a week of 1500 a day and see what happens. At the end of the day, it till comes down to calories in/calories burned. Eating healthy is important but how much you are eating is also important. You have to keep in mind your metabolism and the kinds of food you eat. Are you eating foods high in sodium? Do you get enough liquids to keep hydrated and flush out sodium? It's possible you are eating more than you think. Studies show we eat 30% more than we think we do. Play around with your calories and see what happens.

Thanks Suzi! I am getting back on the journaling bandwagon to make sure I am not underestimating! I'll look at the soduim and water intake.
