Yesterday was not successful for me as I sit here and evaluate things. I was down in the dumps about the lack of scale movement, the weather is depressing, I feel like a bear cub in hibernation! So thanks to all of you who commented on my post last night over that whine fest....I am over it now this morning after a good pep talk from my coach (thanks Gizmo!). so meals for yesterday were:

Breakfast: 8am
coffee w/ soymilk creamer
pumpkin flax granola w/fat free milk (I love my after searching the market for one that would work for me!)

Lunch: noon
roast beef sandwich (sandwich thin, r.b, egg white, avocado)
protein shake (whey protein, choc soy slender, cold coffee)

Snack: 2PM
Atkins sweet & salty almond bar

Supper: 6pm.....OK HERE COMES THE SCREW UP.....
FRIED CALAMARI, FRIED CHICKEN

OK Glad that is over with!!!!

Good news is that I ripped all the coating and skin off the the chicken so my numbers were not totally off the charts.

Letting it go and moving on , hope you are all having a marvelous day!

Wow, calamari eaten without the coating? I wasn't aware that was even possible. I hope you enjoyed it still. I would have chalked it up as a spike day, enjoyed the heck out of that calamari & kept on rollin, lol.

Kat - HECK no...I only peeled the coating off the chicken. Mainly because I didn't like it.

Thats the perfect way of thinking Babs! We all get into those whine moments but its those moments that makes stronger to keep pushing forward no matter what. That dinner sounds very yummy but am glad you ripped off the skin... I do the same when I take out dad for his KFC chicken which is rare its just gross that skin LOL. If it was me eating that now I would eat the whole thing but while losing I would not just too risky. Even now it would be hard not ripping off skin lol.

@gizmo- funny I have been craving fried chicken for about the past 3 months and just talking about it but actually can't even remember the last time I ate it, I mean seriously probably years ago. Now I mean, I didn't just want any old fried chicken you see, it needed to be really authentic from a good restaurant (only because I have no idea how to make it and I DO NOT want to learn, it was never a staple for us growing up). I did have really good fried chicken from a locally owned italian restaurant where all their food is just awesome. Hubby had lasagna and I certainly wasn't having that! I went for the fried chicken and I think a little voice in the back of my head was telling me I was going to pull that damn crust and skin off of it anyway! I am sort of giggling about it now because it will probably be years again before I will even think about fried chicken. Satisfied my guilt today by making a fantastic pot of Bab's homemade turkey & 3-bean chili!

Babs, some of us like me are fortunant enough to have been getting some vitamin "D" the past couple of days and the sunshine certainly helps as sometimes the blues of Winter can make one blue. You are sounding like you are thinking more positive thoughts today and this will definitely help you get past this funk;)Towanda!11

Vitamin D is a must to take in the northern and wintery months it does help keep the spirits high!
