I didnt do my weigh in, I jist needed to confess to how HORRIBLE i did on my fast last week. ugh im so upset with myself. I fell victim to everyone to the "it's a party syndrome" its what I call it anyway. This is when everyone around you is snacking or eating something you love, then they offer it and you cant resis it. i failed hard but got it back together yesterday, back on track at least i think. lol pray for meeee
312.8 lb Lost so far: 14.2 lb.    Still to go: 122.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hey 👋 I had the same issue before. What helps is to set a mindset around food that you “don’t care” about what they’re eating. Once you do it over and over it gets easier and you pretty much don’t care. There will always be excuses. Consider them as such.

its not easy to stick to a diet with temptation rubbing in your face.

Just a suggestion... do your weigh-in anyway. One of two things will happen. Either it is as bad as you believe, and you’ll know what you need to work off to get back on track OR it’s not as bad as you think and you can stop kicking yourself. Doesn’t mean you have to post it here on FS for the world to see, but hiding our calories (not logging) or weight from ourselves doesn’t help us on our weight loss journey. It only avoids the situation, and eliminates our ability to be honest to ourselves and assess what we need to do next. Either way, there is nothing wrong with a splurge or bad day. As long as a bad day doesn’t turn into a bad couple days, then a bad week and so on... Pulling for you! You can do it!

Think about how you felt eating it. Was it fulfilling? Were you happy and truly enjoying it? Also, think about how your body feels afterwards. Sometimes we cheat because our bodies are craving something needed. If your fast failure was really in vain, chalk it up as a minor loss and keep pushing forward. We're all struggling to improve ourselves, and are going to make mistakes. :)

I totally agree with how you feeling. It does really suck when other people are eating whatever they want around you when they know you’re trying to be healthier.

How long was your fast supposed to be?

I have found that it is a process. Like everything else in life there will be ups and downs...and at least for me, I have to make this more of a way or sustainable eating for life versus a “diet” to lose weight. For many people the diet aspect of it results in overall failure because the weight comes back once you start “eating normal again” (whatever that means to each individual). After trying a myriad of diets over the years I FINALLY realized that I’ve sabotaged myself by not finding a more sustainable plan of attack. I’m hoping I’ve figured out, now, a more sustainable way - time will tell. So I saw all of this to say don’t feel bad, learn from it and move forward. Next time you may be able to say “no” or maybe you will only accept a smaller amount and be satisfied. Do t let the perceived pressure of failure get you down - it’s all part of process to success!!

I didn’t want to weigh this morning either I am with you. I decided to post it because obviously I need help getting this weight off. It is hard when other people are eating the foods you used to enjoy. Stay strong. We are in this together

I agree with Jdstore. It is a lifelong process. Today is a new day, new start. Not sure how long your fast was supposed to be but maybe try IF for a bit. I fast about once a month, I start after dinner, then continue to next day. I do 24 hours. The sleep time helps tremendously. Sometimes I only make it to lunch but that's ok too.
