TheKarenS's Journal, 15 March 2013

I haven't weighed. In fact, I told my son to hide the scales for 2 weeks. I want this journey to about health, not weight.

I'm re-reading my Atkins book, and doing really well. I'm so relieved to say that my "willpower" is back, and I've had no cravings. The book pointed out that when you eat properly, there should be no cravings for junk. So far, so good!

Also, I'm exercising daily. I've just done walking and horse-back riding so far, but I want to do more. My friend has a free personal trainer, but I don't think I'm up for that yet. I think I should conquer Wii Active, easy level, first. ;)
145.0 lb Lost so far: 31.8 lb.    Still to go: 10.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hi Karen, it's good to see you back, posting regularly, and re-kindling your motiveation; which can be hard to do when you've been at it for a while. You're doing great. Keep up the good work. :-)

Thanks, shyguy! Its good to be back "on the wagon" and I do feel better. I'm amazed at what 10lbs gain can to to my size and self-opinion. Also, I'm hoping my overall health like skin and hair quality will improve. How are you doing?

Hi Karen, I'm doing fine, but like most of us, I've been on again, off again, and trying to stay focused long enough to keep the weight coming off at a steady rate. I guess my greatest strength, is the fact, that I'll never give up; if I fall off the wagon, or in some cases jump :-), 11 times, I'll get back on 12; failure is not an option. :-) I'm glad you are feeling better, and are continuing to improve. Have a great week. :-)
