Well, I tried really hard this week, fighting my temptations and staying on my diet and I've gotten a huge reward for it.

I lost 13.1 pounds since Monday! I can't wait to see how much I lose when I'm back to exercising 5 days a week...I'm back to that tomorrow!!!

It's a beautiful day here, so I may just take my walk outside tomorrow if it's still this cool and pretty...

I'm really grouchy this evening for some reason but I'm so HAPPY about my weight loss!

Those 13 lbs are gone FOREVER! Now I only have 37 lbs to go for my 50 lb Christmas weight loss goal. I think I'm more than capable of dropping that in 12 weeks with LOTS of hard work and dedication...who knows?
206.6 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 16.6 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

Well I am glad you had a steep drop. Just FYI it looks like it was your first week of 'watching" again after a long gain....I say this only because when I first read 13 my jaw dropped and I was thinking this CAN'T be healthy but most people lose a LOT the first week or two of a weight loss program (I often will drop 7 or 8 myself) Ride the excitement by all means just don't expect it to be that rapid the whole way :) GRATS that is a wonderful, wonderful start! You can definitely lose 37 more by Christmas. 37/14 = appx 2.5lbs a week. that is a bit high on the healthy loss scale (1-2 lbs a week) but it is certainly within reason!

WOW! All I can say is WOW! That's great! Take this momentum and keep it up. Sima is right, though enjoy the fast loss for the first couple weeks but don't be disappointed if it slows, just stay on the plan and you'll get there. FYI, Sima, it is very typical to lose this much the first week or two of Atkins (and some other diets too), and since some of it is water weight it isn't unhealthy, as long as it doesn't continue at this rate, like you said. :)
