Day 1 Week 4 of C25K. That was a challenge. To go from running a total of 9 minutes to 16 minutes...whew! But still pressing on...

I blew it this past weekend when I went home. I had Zaxby's on the way, but didn't realize once I got to grandma's house that she had Popeye's chicken waiting. The wise choice would have been to go to the store and find something else to eat or just eat a bowl of cereal, but I was being a fatty...lol. I've been beating myself up over it b/c it voids all the work I put in during the week. I'm only comforted in the fact that I don't eat like that often... This week is a new week. Now I'm just preparing myself for the family reunion I'm attending this upcoming weekend...argghhh! What a challenge it will be...

NOT TRUE GIRL!! lol.. one day is not gonna void all the work you put in.. i mean of course we do have to pay closer attention to what we eat and unfortunately i have finally grasped the concept that i will never be able to be like these "skinny" girls who can eat whatever they want and not gain a pound.. but you are definitely allowed a day off.. i took sunday night off and just grubbed at my mom's house .. i was more cautious than i was back in the day... but nibbled and grazed and snacked.. and u know what.. no regrets.. i knew monday would be a new day and i would keep on truckin... you have worked hard... if u don't feel like you can have those days where u just live then what are we doing this for?? one of the things that kept me fat was my favorite saying "if i died tomorrow, i want to die knowing i ate what i wanted...".. while i can't live like this anymore.. i'm so happy having the control over my food intake and getting healthy.. and i can't make myself miserable when i feel like eating something i want in moderation especially when i do work so hard... week 5 is a killer!! but you got this girl! so proud of you and getting to week 4!

One day of eating bad foods won't make you unhealthy...it's how you eat overall. You're doing a great job overall and that's what really matters. Kudos!

I agree Naiomy...I am a LOT more cautious with my grubbing than I used to be. It really shows that I'm learning something, which gives me a good feeling. Thanks for the support Pking. I really appreciate it. @Naiomy...have you gotten to the point yet where you don't think about the time and wonder how much longer til you get to walk again? lol I hope that time comes soon for me b/c today was hard!

every time..lol.. its my obsessive personality..lol.. saturday was by far the hardest... it was 5 minute warm up, 20 minute jog, 5 minute cool down... i was like ok.. if u get to 10 minutes and feel like its too much.. jsut stop... but i know i've done 15 minutes before.. so once i got there.. it was just a matter of saying ok.. lets get another couple minutes done... my husband set mine up to give me interval counts.. so for like the 20 minute run.. it told me once i had 10 minutes left.. when i was half way thru my workout.. then 5 minutes.. then 2 minutes.. then 1... so i just wait for those little marks to keep pushing myself. today was 5 jog/3 walk/8 jog/3 walk/5 jog.. that 5 minute one at the end was rough lol

Wow...setting the app up like that may be more helpful. I think I saw that option. I'll go back and check. But hopefully by the end, we will have built up enough endurance to just run for long periods without thinking about it.

Yes! It is for iPod touch. I don't know how I would have kept up without it! It's marvelous!
