Because you are double dipping on the exercise. When you start a new exercise plan or increase/change the old one, your muscles get little tears in the fibers and retain water to help them heal. It can show on the scale as a weight gain or no loss. I can ride my bike hard one day and show a 4 pound gain the next. Drink your water and keep going. The scale will move again. You are getting leaner and smaller. Think about it. Is it better to be a 140lbs and a size 6 (without exercise) or 150lbs and a size 4 (with exercise). I'd rather be the size 4. You are doing great.
