Finally!
Changed up what and how I eat after the EATlancet report a few weeks ago. I guess I have been readjusting.
The recommendations made me look again at their advice and I found out lots of new information about vegetables and fruit.

razor123ray, yes indeed I eat what I want to eat for my best shot at a healthy happy life, and I believe my food is all healthy though many would probably disagree, those who made that EATLancet report certainly would! I never eat what I don't like because someone says I ought to. Even if - no - especially if it has been handed down by the powers that be ;) The EATLancet report was a real eye opener in lots of ways and lots of levels, it made me really think and learn loads. I wonder what the hidden political agenda behind it all is. ... ... My physiotherapist told me I was an anomoly. GOOD!! I refuse to be pigeon holed and love to push boundaries and question everything. Always.

phooka, nuce to ctch up again! Things in my world are a long way from perfect but a lot less bad than they have been. I feel I am on the right track and the icing on the metaphorical cake would be my regained physical health and fitness :) No fear of me eating the real cake, so that is good. ...

In the past, people ate differently because the scope of food was limited and during the intervening time until now, people are eating a more varied diet, but have become lazy and eat more boring food too. Take the humble salad, this used to be garnished with a variety of flowers, herbs and plants like samphire, each giving a unique flavour to what is now pretty bland dish. Some flowers are slightly peppery others a definite scented taste, samphire salty. Along comes modern science and you have the high/ (low?) calorie dressings to take their place. EAT-lancet report is nothing more than an indictment of the modern diet.
