Around the World Challenge Weigh-In

Welcome to England! I'm actually checking in with this week's weigh-in from a gorgeous cottage in the Cotswolds. Unfortunately, a few treats last night (wine and birthday cake to celebrate my mum's 65th birthday, which is why we're all here for the weekend) has put my ATW weight (old scales) back up to 148lb, so no change this week. I hope everyone else has had a good weigh-in!

I've tried to stick to my diet plan yesterday and today, although it has been hard, what with all the goodies around and everyone else enjoying icecreams etc! We're just about to light the BBQ now, but I'll try not to go overboard on the fab farm fresh sausages and burgers we bought this afternoon!

No formal exercise, although lots of football with Finlay and his 18-month-old cousin (my nephew), a whole lot of Wii Sports last night, not to mention four hours walking round the Cotwolds Wildlife Park today, much of it carrying a 25lb toddler!!

Sorry I'm not able to keep up with you all over the past couple of days - I can only snatch a couple of minutes in the computer every now and again without feeling guilty about neglecting my family duties! Hope you're all having a great weekend!!

Oh, and for the record, my new scales weighed me at 149.4lb this morning (yes, I sadly did pack both scales for our trip!), so my official recorded weight, based on 75% old + 25% new is 148.4lb.
148.4 lb Lost so far: 61.6 lb.    Still to go: 8.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Happy Birthday to your Mum! It's really really hard to resist those temptations when there's a lot of forbidden food around, but it sounds like you did pretty good! A little birthday cake shouldn't hurt you too much and it looks like you got some good food for your BBQ. Have a wonderful weekend at your cottage :)

It's not every weekend you get to get away on a family vacation and celebrate your mother's 65th birthday! So don't feel guilty about enjoying some of the celebratory food. You deserve to let loose once in a while! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I hope that you have a fantastic weekend with your family in the Cotswolds and Happy 65th Birthday to your Mum too! Aw, I giggled at you packing the scales... but know that would be me too!! No workouts? Hee-hee... I'm only joking and think your 4 hours of walking around was more than enough there! Hope you had a lovely BBQ this evening and have a great rest of your weekend! :o)

yup, you did plenty on the activity-front! Enough to probably even even out the food-indulgences...glad you're enjoying the outdoors and spending some quality time with the family! Hilarious to read you brought both scales with you--puts a whole different spin on "carrying your own weight"! ;)
