I have decided to increase my exercise to 1 1/2 hours per day instead of my 1 hour last week. I will do that in 45 minute increments on my Gazelle. Any ideas?

Well, you know that as we get older losing weight can be more difficult. Constant yo-yoing may have an effect on the metabolism as well. Things to looks at: how many calories are you eating? Are you eating enough? Are you eating too many? Are you eating too many processed foods (too much sodium)? Are you drinking water? (to flush out sodium)? Are you getting in enough lean protein, dairy, fruits and veggies? Are your clothes more loose? If you combine a new diet with new exercise, it can take time to see the results. You may see the results in fat loss/inches before you see the scale move much. Losing weight takes time and patience. Play around with your calories and food. It will come off, it just may take time.

Bridges, you are on ATkins and should be eating between 1400 and 1700 calories a day. When you drop too low you body goes into starvation mode, and the weight loss stops. I looked at your food diary and it looks fairly good, except there isn't enough of it, if you are recording all your food. The other thing to remember is that sometimes weight loss will kind of level off, then suddenly drop again. It can be sooo frustrating. And there is one more factor, remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are doing lots of exercise (which it appears you are, which is good) your weight may not change as much as your measurements do. Take some base measurements, if you haven't already, and then in 10 days do another set. I think you will be very pleasantly surprised. Hope this has helped. Have a great Sunday!!
