Have you ever tried melatonin? It is a natural sleep aid usually sold in vitamin aisle of a Walgree's type store. Melatonin is a brain chemical that regulates sleep so adding the supplement aids drowsiness for some people.

yeah- melatonin is awesome... I used to bring bottles of it from the States to Baghdad and give it to my guys when they couldn't get to sleep. You can take it at 0230 and still be able to wake up and be alert at 0430 if there was incoming...you DO NOT want to be groggy during THAT! lol.
