Got and trying out 9 grain steel cut cereal. and Ionic iodine for thyroid.
I haven't gone back to the doctor since they pretty much blew me off.
I paid them off without waiting for the actual amount due from Medicare,
as they insisted.
They failed to supply documentation that I requested regarding their claim that both medicare and my supplemental insurance denied the claims. It's not clear WHICH claims were denied, and why, since I had an excellent one hour physical exam with question/answer/instruction included, and two sets of blood tests done over the next 7 weeks. They did admit to correcting the numerical 'code' number for the office visit, that they gave to medicare, and that they resubmitted to Medicare. Not clear if also sent to my supplemental insurance.
As I requested I did get the results of both blood tests, and the doctor went over the first blood test results with me, saying I'm borderline diabetic, and possible both my brain and kidneys may be permanently damaged. The followup blood test would be important to review. But nothing since. I've collated the two blood tests since they were done and arranged completely differently, so I could easily compare the two.
Otherwise I have gotten short shrift from all of them at this facility, except the doctor during the visit. Including both women in billing dept. one of them the public relations person.
Another doctor I tried to talk to who cut me off and dismissed me, transferring my call to the PR lady who pretty much did the same.
Checking online I've determined my brain is working fine for my age (and having had a very serious head injury in 1987, and only still alive due to my brothers intervention on my behalf, overriding the doctors dismissal of his concerns, preferring to trust his high tech instruments), and no symptoms of kidney damage.
I trusted my prior doctor at this facility, but he's left them. I've had a lifetime of experience of doctors doing stupid things to my body. Some of them causing serious problems. Misdiagnoses, improper treatments, various treatments or lack of, causing deformities (crooked lower left leg that's also 3/4 inch shorter than right leg causing L5 bone disease eventually; permanent Bells Palsy on left side of face) and so on.
I think doctors are overworked and underpaid, and stressed out. Who can think clearly in those conditions? They are also supposed to have the answers, and no time to confirm them. Unable to admit wrong doing as well.
EVERYbody makes mistakes. That's why there are erasers on pencils. :)
