hollipop's Journal, 14 June 2016

Well, after 6 weeks of doing I don't know what--not going to the gym and eating everything--I am finally getting back on track. I'm back on low carb, and I made it to the gym this morning. I plan to go back this evening. I've been watching old episodes of Extreme Weight Loss on TLC and found it inspiring! I've convinced my mom to go low-carb with me and hoping my dad and sister will join us too. It's so much easier to eat right when you have someone else doing it with you! I figure we can meal plan together so that we eat the same things and it should help with temptation. Also, will meal plan my hubby and boys meals so that they get plenty to eat and I'm not worrying about them eating while I still eat what I'm supposed to.
Also, revamping my gym schedule. I plan to go twice a day, 3-5 days a week. I will walk the treadmill in the mornings before work (because I don't sweat as much when I walk) and then get my strength training/cardio in the evenings. I want to work out 30-45 minutes in the morning, and then evening workouts will be whatever length in order to be 1.5 hours of daily exercise. I walked for 30 minutes this morning, so I will get an hour of cardio and strength training this evening.
Planning a grocery trip tomorrow evening to stock up on healthy meats, veggies and low-carb fruits. Thinking I will try for 50-70 net carbs/day and 80-100oz of water. I've really slacked on my water intake the last couple months. It's hard for me to drink a lot of anything, but I'm getting it. I have a water app on my phone that tracks my intake plus sends me reminders to drink throughout the day. It really helps!
Anyway, hope everyone has a successful day!!

Sounds like you have a good plan in place. Getting those around you on board will help all of you.

Wow, that's a lot of gym time. Perhaps start off slow and work your way up to 1.5 hrs. Good luck!!

I had been going for an hour a day earlier this year, but hadn't went at all the last couple months. I thought splitting my gym time would make it easier get more time in.
