Hi! I'm a 33yo mother of two, a 11yo and 8yo. I have a sweet, loving husband and a wonderful family. I work in billing at a nursing home, and really love my job! I live in beautiful KY, surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Growing up, I never had an issue with weight. I ate whatever I wanted and still had a cute little figure. However, after I married, I quickly began adding the pounds. Having never had to diet before, it was all new to me, and, at the first little temptation, my diet was through. In the last 13 years, I have continued to add weight with pregnancies and stress.

I was doing great and had lost 40 lbs by Aug '12, when I started having some health problems. Pain made exercise difficult and the pounds began to return. Major surgery in Oct '13 followed by 6 weeks recovery was the straw that broke the camel's back, and I now find myself back in the 200's. Where I promised to never return. But I will not stay here...I will not quit!

I want to be healthy and fit so that I have the energy to play with my boys and spend time with my husband. I also want to be healthy so that I have plenty of years ahead of me to be with my family and enjoy life!

friends...
I have a coworker who is jealous because of the weight I've lost in the last year. I was the biggest one in our office, but since I've lost the weight, she is now the biggest. If I have an indulgence or "spike" day, she loves telling me that I'm gonna gain all my weight back "eating like that" (as if one cookie would kill my hard work!) I just reply that that cookie will disappear after my workout later. That shuts her up because she certainly won't be working out after her 2 cookies!
I think some people just can't help themselves with putting others down. It is the only way to keep their own ego up. When she says you look sick or old, just tell her that you feel great and everyone else thinks so too! This should make her realize you refuse to listen to her comments, especially since she's the only one who feels that way.

Cake!! Are you kidding me?
Something that helps me to resist is, when I'm thinking about cheating, I will put it into my food diary. This helps me see just how much giving in to temptation will cost me. Especially if it will blow my calories for the day, and I wouldn't be able to eat anything else!
Granted this doesn't always work, but...sometimes. Just a thought! Smile

Calorie Cycling???
So, I was reading woman's world mag today, and I love reading about the diets they feature each week. Today's diet was, I think called the shred diet, and it involves calorie cycling. Supposedly it totally revamps your metabolism, and spurs the weightloss. It says to switch back and forth each day between a 1000cal day and 2000cal day. Just wondering if anyone's ever tried this, and if so, did you find success? Also, if you did try it and it worked, did it stick, or did the weight come right back after you quit?
Whether it works or not, I don't want to try it if it's not going to help in the long-term.
Thanks guys! Very Happy
