To what do you attribute the gain? I know good and well why I am up. Guess I should log the painfull number!

If it makes you feel any better YOH, I see more red arrows right now in general than I do green ones, it's not just you, this time of year is a struggle for nearly everyone. I'm doing an experiment right now that may take me up also, even with my fasting, but the beans I have added seem to help me feel fuller and reduce my craving for a huge bowl of chicken n dumplings or something similar in the warm comfort food department. So, If I do go up...with the fiber it should not take it long to go back down and I don't feel like I am gaining any fat....but definitely more volume in the digestive tract...which is exactly the effect I was aiming for...we shall see.

Oh the struggle can be so hard this time of year! Are you able to lift weights yet? I know it felt good to get back in the gym last Friday and I am still sore 2 days later.

Morticia im working on it. I DO need to gain probably 5 pounds but muscle not flab and this is NOT muscle gain. I reduced my protein intake over past 10 days and guessing thats the culprit. Increased carbs and sodium.

Debbie, i think the gain is from reducing protein grams and increasing carbs and sodium and sugar. I made myself log it even tho i stared at the scale willing it to change. It stubbornly refused to buy into my denial. So i logged it.

Zenus-im pretty much in a continual state of feeling like ive had a bit of alcohol. Which i have not. Little swimmy. Have to be careful about the right side of my head - turning it to fast, tipping it up, laying down too fast but other than that im pretty much fine.

Saran-right? Just be vigilant right!

Diana-i know why im up. Was hoping metabolism could handle a little change but clearly it cannot so back to tried and true. How are you doing? I read you said you felt like you were getting old. Haha dont give in!! We must not acknowledge that as it is the purveyor of things we dont want to think about-like depends, loss of driving abilities etc. now im not saying that happens to everyone but i have seen very young people in their 90’s and very old people in their 40’s so i think old is a frame of mind. We are just babies!!!

Debra-last year i was still in the 170’s and super restrictive on calories so this little blip feels much more manageable. I have been adding a small amount of kidney beans last couple days to my salad just to get a little extra fiber but the sodium is so high. It just ocurred to me i could rinse them that may help. Tell me how to lose the craving for bread like carbs and chocolate and that would be a Xmas miracle🥰

RPL-i went back to the trainer last Thursday for first time. Had an episode when she was having me do some abs stuff on the table but it was at the end of the workout so i was able to sit for a minute till the world re-adjusted and stopped moving. I think im perfectly fine to workout just have to be cognizant of positioning. See ENT vertigo specialist on the 26th see what he has to say about this whole situation. Thought (by reading similar accounts online) that it would have passed by now. Bummer. Ps. Welcome back to the States!

YOH, I am old! I feel tired a lot lately. I'm thinking it's from surgery...I do one thing and the fatigue I feel is massive. I am back to working out 5 days a week and just doing housework or baking makes me so tired. I am not doing well in the food department either. Last 2 days were a carb and sugar fest. Going to regroup tomorrow. I'm definitely out of my comfort zone.

Diana, was this how you felt the first time you had the pacemaker installed? If not, i would highly highly suggest you talk to the surgical team to make sure there is not some infection going on that is robbing you of all your reserves. Also, and i dont even know why im saying this because I KNOW you KNOW, but sugar will make you tied after the initial rush wears off also. But im guessing you may have something underlying going on. Other than fatigue are you feeling well?

Geesh, YOH! I hope you get everything straightened out soon! 💜
