nanmix -- I can't speak for what Karen's doing, but I can tell you I've had good luck by staying away from processed foods

Man mix- I too am staying away from processed foods, added sugar and excess sodium. I have recently transitioned to a Whole Foods, Plant Based way of eating in order to get my A1C and cholesterol numbers down. I can say that the whole grains, beans, veggies and fruit have kept me feeling full and satisfied with fewer calories.
