I broke my fast just one hour and 15 min short to complete the full 72 hrs fast. :( very disappointed at myself. I was seeing stars and I panicked, ate some keto meatloaf, broth and a scoop of rice (it was there)...didn't even bother to weigh my food. As soon as I finished it I immediately regretted it. That wasn't what I planned to eat to break my fast! What have I done?! It came so closed!!! Oh well, sometimes you just have to move on and hopefully I'll do a better job second time around. I will continue with my 16:8 IF 30 minutes from now for the time being.

Wow, good job on 70 hr fast - be careful of artificial deadlines and goals - you + 70 hrs of fasting not two hours short. And, when you see stars its time for food!

Oh I know there are great reasons to fast, however, weight loss is not one of them.

Thank you all. To be honest, I intented to go beyond day 3. But I think I started to break down while I was cooking for my boys, I had to taste the food, and once i did it, I lost it. April was right, the best thing for you to do during a fast is to keep youself busy. Lol. Can't wait to see how much weight will come back tomorrow morning. :)

Great work, as all before me said, 70 hours is no joke! 16h is an impressive accomplishment, and going for as long as you did gives you the knowlege you can do it!

The 16:8 was something I could live with on my WOE..Therefore I did not have to beat myself up, and the journey continues..

Hey you did great. busy is key for me, but I never do more than 24 hours (on work days). You da man for doing 3 days. I do 24 hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Its become habit now and my cowrkers stopped asking me already. I juyst make sure I have my bag of favorite waters when I drive to work.

@thsiun, I did a 36 hour once and my wife told me I can't do that again while she is at home (lol). My goal is 2 lb/week loss and my two 24 hour fasts fit in to my plan. I do have a large "re-feed" night on Sunday to reset hormones/attitude etc.. so I am not super hardcore, dont want to lose more than 2 lb per week. 6 weeks going strong.

when you break a fast - even a fast of 24 hours you will need to break it with something starchy it is recommended tomatoes, three skin a broiled - I break my fast usually because I do the Keto with cabbage cooked so it is easier for my body to start again especially the kidney's. Drink a whole bunch of water and cauliflower and cabbage is recommended, otherwise after the first time you go to the bathroom for #2 you might not be able to go for at least 3 days. You have to be kind to your inside.
