I am at a plateau once again. I still want to get down to between 150-155lb because I believe that at that weight I will LOSE DIABETES FOREVER. But I have stayed between 159 to 164 for a very long time, averaging at what I am now, which is 160.8 lbs.
So the question is this: Am I not able to reach this goal because:
1. It cannot be done, plus if I do finally get there, I will not drop diabetes forever because that goal is not achievable.
OR
2. I am not able to get there because psychologically I fear that I will be disappointed when I do reach the 150 goal. By inadvertently not getting there or delaying, am I avoiding finding out that diabetes is here to stay?
What do you think? I have had diabetes since 1986, so we are talking about a diabetic who has lived with this insidious disease for almost 30 years. "Is there no balm in Gilead?"
