I'm starting to get concerned now that I'm so close to my target weight. I wonder if I will be able to maintain the weight loss. Even though I have not reached my goal yet, I don't want to loose too much muscle. My waist is now 32" which is down from 38". I try to eat more protein these days and practice more resistance training. Maintenance, the final frontier...

You're doing a great job. I understand that worry of maintenance and retaining muscle. I'm not there yet, it's a slower process losing the weight at this point. Maintenance will be another stage in the journey. At some point I'll probably be looking into some bulking/cutting modes like others have done, we'll see.

You have done great with the FitBit motivation. Although I have not really hot my "goal" I have kept it higher for that exact reason - I want to be able to maintain a weight and still have some up and down wiggle room.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Have you had a measure done of body composition- fat to muscle? That might take the guesswork out of it. Measure now and say 6 mos. done the road. You are an inspiration- I have yet a while to go.
