Happy Weekend!

Our weather is finally supposed to break this afternoon. Hope I can get Pound Puppy to a new park. He needs to keep up his socialization since he tends to view bigger dogs as a threat.

Lol my 7 lb yorkie poo thinks he is the largest king dog of all dogs... he loves to go to the park .. but sometimes he has misbehaved... my daughter does have him now trained to not try to test the other dogs there, or he doesn't get to go bye bye and he loves bye bye rides lol have fun you and your pound puppy today...sounds so cute:)

Syndi - What is it with those little dogs anyway? Would love to have your daughter give me some tips.

HCB - You are too funny! But you have got to remember, the real purpose of this excursion to to exercise the dog owners.

I don't know lol....My daughter and I received Max last year as a Christmas gift from my hubby... hes a year old now and just so cute he is all black and slight touch of copper around nose area, has the most beautiful coat, the vet said his intelligent manner comes from the poodle part of him. My daughter is 17 and shes the one who teaches him, shes more strict than I but loves him like no tomorrow and he worships her. if I get on her when shes correcting him with a stern voice.. she will say to me mama do not counter parent him... he needs to learn... soo cute lol.

If I let my little yorkie poo run wild while at the park there will be nothing but exercise for me and my daughter... running after him until we paas out from exhaustion lol.

Enjoy your day. Trying also to get my crazy pup out more. Hoping that walks in the neighborhood will make it less likely for her to run if she get out. Cannnot get her to not bolt if she gets the chance. I do need to get her micro chipped.

It's just starting to get nice here, too. I have a little JackChi and he thinks he is HUGE. LOL. I also have a big black lab/golden retriever mix. I love to see them play. My big dog is so gentle with him, but when he pushes his limit, she will slide him around (not hard, but gentle and enough that he knows play time is over). I crack up when my little dog tries to jump up on my big dogs back and go for a ride across the yard.

My little pomchi always thought he was huge, weighed in at 7.5 pounds!! He never acted like a little dog except his big dog attitude!

Jilzee - I think Pound Puppy may be a JackChi. Does he look like mine?

right now a I have my Boston mix crazy pup cuddled up shaking because of thunder. I need to get moving but she is as usual scared of the noise.

Wholefoodnut - sounds like micro chipping may be a good choice for you. And the price has been coming down since we had our Shih Tzu chipped (about 10 years ago).

PS - there is such a thing as a Thunder Shirt. Some people swear by them.

my maxie was already chipped when we purchased him thank God..lol the terrier in him every once in awhile makes him try to bolt...what is the thunder shirt buffybear?

Thunder shirt? never heard of it, will look. Boston terrier, maybe that's the thing, terrier. When she was a pup I'd take her out front and she would stay within a few feet of me. Suddenly at about 6 mos she started bolting away. She will always jump in the car though or go to someone new along the way, especially kids. I want to train her for agility but first she has to be able to run free without bolting. Thankfully I have a fenced back yard. She does have her rabies tags on with the vet's hone number, when she gets her shots in a few weeks we will also do the micro chip. I think only around $20.00, so not bad.

No not bad at all..my hubby is the one who always had prior to our relationship... he had Yorkshire terriers and his vet said they will bolt and to keep an eye on them, our back yard is fenced in and that is Maxies domain lol boston terriers are adorable... my older son and his wife had one and it got out bolted out onto the road and was killed it broke their hearts... so sad:(

Aww so sad about the Boston. Mine is weird at bath my daughter's in the country she stays right there. Here in town, different story. I think she wants to explore.
