sunday...goood morning...my road to recover might be longer then i thought..my shoulder is bruised/pulled..muscles just dont want to work right..they do if i want to moan an groan thru the pain..been trying to move it more..thats what im told will help mend it faster..

havent been journaling food..dont even care to much about any of that at the time..still eating great..but today will be subway...guess that can be my first major cheat in a week..

been listening to meditations on pain an relief..hoping that helps some to...

been thinking alot about riding ...inside i have control over everything..outside...well...i have control over nothing...fridays fall was the worst fall ive had on bicycle..

im finding out that patience is becoming a part of me i lost..chaning thirts, shorts, is taking half hour when you can only use one hand to get things lined up...right arm if it hangs..pulls muscle..so left arm and hand are learning how to be used more..slso getting prettty creative with getting things done..when i use to have access to 2 arms and hands...

yesterday i had my salad like usual...but had to use fork in left hand..it was a chore..but after chasing salad around on chest 8 or so times..finally called it a meal..was thinking a fork an a spoon might of worked better...

well...need to get up an hobble to the bathroom an then into kitchen ..almost time for antibotic and my motrin/ibphroben mixture for the pain...since i dont take all that much pills...when i take these 2..i get a 4 hour nap..but really would rather be awake an moving around...not enjoying this at all...

HAVE A GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT DAY EVERONE...

It was a nasty accident, Mike. Yes, you will have to learn to be more patient while healing goes on. You're probably in a bit of shock too. As for eating, I think I would be tempted to use my hand instead of a fork or spoon! Hope you feel better soon. Thinking of you always. Take care.

Hey Mike sorry I didnt get on yesterday and only in the morning Friday but thats me when its warm outside Im out there..Anyway I hope that your doing better and thatbyou heal fast huge hugs to you and have a better day;)

Recovery is a freaking <bleep>. Keep slowly use the arm even though it hurts. I deal with chronic pain (RA) and have dealt with numerous injury (hey y'all watch this) over the years and I have adopted the 'Litany against Fear', changing the word fear to pain (or to what ever sensation/emotion I may be trying to cope with at the time) as a way to focus the mind. Its from a work of fiction but find the words very powerful. Channeling good healing vibes your way.

Good advice, JLente! I think Doobrie has something there ... eating with your hands in stead of trying to fork or spoon it with your less dominant hand. Joseph's pita filled with the salad ingredients OR make a green smoothie. Fill that blender up with all kinds of veggies and some protein powder. (add a fruit) If you can get out and walk around, it might make you loosen up more too. Hang in there.
