LSG417's Journal, 26 March 2018

In an effort to be healthier, not just thinner, I bought some pH strips to start testing myself on a daily basis. Maintaining proper pH balance is vital to wellness. I don't tend to get sick much, despite working in healthcare. Maybe it's my immune system, maybe my pH levels are good. But a friend of mine told me that this is how she and her kids have remained healthy for many years. I purchased a book on Amazon that lists the best foods to keep your body at optimum alkalinity. It doesn't take much for your body to become out of balance and if you don't correct it, it truly can affect your long term health. That's why this journey for me is so much more than just losing excess weight. It's about achieving optimum health.

You must have been reading my mind! 😉 I was just talking to my husband about this last night. I have a list of foods and their place on the acid/alkaline chart. How do you like the book? Do you recommend it?

Well, I haven't gotten too far into the book yet, but so far, I do like it. It's the Acid-Alkaline Food Guide by Dr Susan Brown.
