Fritzy 22's Journal, 20 March 2018

For the last week or so I keep sabotaging my diet at the end of the day. I do good all day and then something happens. Nothing major, but enough to keep me from losing. A couple days ago it was a piece of dry toast, last night it was microwaved popcorn AND I added butter. Today, thought I'd make it, but I toasted 1/4 bagel and ate it dry and it's just almost 5pm. Hope I get through the evening and then stop whatever is going on. The weather isn't helping and we're in for rain the rest of the week. That makes me less motivated to get out and walk or if I do walk, it's shorter than usual.

How about having some salsa and carrot sticks on hand, does that fit into your eating plan?

I do have baby carrots and try to have 7 or 8 most mornings, just to make sure I get some vegetables. Don't care for salsa. I'm hoping I get through today okay. Until the last couple weeks I was fine after 2pm. I thinks it's mental. Thanks for the suggestions!

I usually eat deli ham rolled up with cheese dipped into the salsa, who am I kidding? ha. At least I am getting protein that way! I actually don't like carrots.

Thanks for the support everyone! Actually today has been good and I am feeling mentally motivated again. I did okay yesterday after the 1/4 bagel and actually showed a tiny loss on the scale this morning. I think I am going to try to eat minimally until my trip Monday. I don't usually actually "fast" but will come close to it. Not getting enough protein while doing this, but will be okay for just a few days. I have an appointment to get my taxes done in about 30 minutes and should be home by 4:30pm. My plan for the evening is to have a cup of hot tea which should be satisfying and a little more water. And Patty, you're right, it is mind over matter. It's always mental for me. When I'm totally motivated nothing will get to me - not the pizza or burger commercials, not anything in the grocery store. But without that motivation I struggle and just have to make sure there is nothing in the cupboards or freezer that I can deep fry!

Do not go out and buy anything and put it in that freezer you hear me young lady! You will get to goal!🌼
