Dinner last night was great. I had prime rib, steak fries, salad and a bud light draft for an appetizer. :)
The Leadership Summit is not exactly typical of previous leadership seminars that I have attended. This has been more than the usual hooplah of political correctness, and touchy-feely role playing. I can tell that they have actually spent a great deal of time in preparation for this thing. This is more about analyzing your leadership traits to develop your strengths and identifying weaknesses. It builds on analysis and surveys that we all previously participated in. It's not rocket science, but I think everybody will get 'something' out of this. There were actually some unexpected revelations. Some of the higher ups actually shared some pretty intimate findings from analysis of their own performance as leaders. Thank God I'm going to learn how to be a leader just before I retire. :) Got one more afternoon session today that starts in a couple hours.
Didn't run this morning, but I plan on doing so tomorrow morning. It has just been impossible for me to track my intake. It seems that these seminars bring out the worst in me. They pull out the cookies, drinks, brownies, candy and all the goodies for the breaks. Everyone eats the catered lunches together in the conference room, and the stuff is really good, but not what I would have packed in my own lunch. I typically throw caution to the wind, and revert to my animal instincts. I don't think this is what they mean by a 'primal diet' though. Oh well, have a great day, FS Buddies!
