Owsley's Journal, 13 June 2012

i was away from FS for a while. I was getting discouraged from tracking and journaling because i wasn't making progress. However my daughter in law, Milky Pirate, has lost 43 pounds since April 1st, which i am worried is too much too fast, but she's motivated and exercising 5 days a week, and really tracking and watching everything that goes in her mouth. And i am very proud of her! And she has inspired my son to lose 20 pounds in the last 3 months! Yay for them both!!!!

So since they inspired me, i am trying again! This time by cutting down even more on calories (watching the quantity/percentage of fat for instance) and see if i can get that scale to budge. Not being a fanatic about the carbs now, as long as they are mostly healthy carbs (had some black beans and brown rice for instance) and not too many.

If at first you don't succeed... gotta find out what will WORK for me that i can live with long term.

Good to see you again. I know how difficult it is to journal, when it seems like there's nothing positve to say; but you can't give up. Never Give Up! You only lose, when you quit trying; and failure is not an option. Be blessed in your, new found, motivation to make this work for you. :-)

Glad to hear you are motivated again! Of course eating well is very important and does help quite a bit . . . If you'd like to see results quicker, not to mention it's good for you, exercising does make a difference . . . Parking a little farther away, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, taking a walk every day. You can do it!!!

I read in one of the posts in the forum that this an experiement we are performing on our bodies. Everyone reacts differently and the important thing is to find what works for you and not give up. Glad you are back.
