Thanks for encouragement. It's been a great journey filled with ups and downs but very much worth it. I lost 42 kgs in 2008. I have managed to keep it off for 10 years now. It persistence, commitment, discipline and not giving up. I moved from 116 kg to 74kg. Moved from dress size 44 to 34. I am quite tall at 1.74m. So I look quite skinny. I am now trying to eat more protein so that I can build some lean muscles. I have gained a bit like 9kgs but I am still wearing same clothes.

That is awesome! The hard part for all of us will be to maintain the weight loss once we reach goal weight, but you are evidence that it's possible!

The lesson we should all teach our children is to never get obese. It's not only unhealthy but also quite expensive. After loosing 42kgs I was left with lots of loose skin. I had to go for breast lifting and tummy tuck which costed an arm and the leg in 2009. I was under the knife for five hours. But I am happy with the outcome. My arms still show that I was huge, but I am not going under the knife for that. I have to just continue building with weight and high protein diet that I have started beginning of this year.

I have lost 15kg and I want lose another 15 or maybe 18. I'm really crossing my fingers not to have loose skin. I don't know what I'll do if I were to have it. You really inspire me to push forward. I cannot wait to meet my thinner self. Welldone girl.

After a loss of 24kg I do have loose skin, the arms, tummy and breasts are the worst, I do not intend on having surgery as I can not afford it, I am however training very hard, toning and hoping for the best possible outcome, this body is still way better than the big one I had...

WoW. Really encouraging. And I totally agree with you on teaching our kids from an early age. My 15yo is so into fitness and I'm busy with the 7yo. Most people think I am being mean when I enforce portion sizes and no eating after 7pm but having grown up obese I dont mind what their opinions are because I know the pain of always being the fat friend. I use my own experiences to explain why health is important.
