Had a great time hiking with old friends. The hike was just hard enough for all of us, none of us has done much hiking in the past few years. Are planning another hike in March. Did good at lunch - a small chicken Caesar salad.

Thanks Patty! I was just happy to be hiking with my friends. We used to try to hike once or twice a month when we were all working. Then things happened. My dad started declining in health and had mild dementia. I spent weekends with him and was upset about what was happening to him and watching him decline. Then I moved and retired and gained weight. We kept talking about hiking again but I knew I couldn't do it until I took off weight. Now I am motivated to keep losing weight, because there is one hike that is a favorite of all of us, is much longer and harder than today's hike. I would probably need to lose another 20 pounds to do it. So I'll lose those 20 pounds!
