Today is day two binge-free. I have joined a group on ww.com called "binge-enders". It's a bunch of individuals who have issues with binge-eating and try to go 21 days at a time binge-free, for as many "cycles" as possible. It's based on the concept that it takes 21 days to form good habits or to break bad ones. So for me, it's Cycle 1, Day 2 today.

I'm ready to conquer the demons that lead to binge-eating! I have an appointment with my therapist today (not the one I talked about yesterday, that lady was years ago) and I plan to spend the hour talking about my food addiction and the "why". Thanks to everyone for the comments on my journal yesterday. They were all very helpful and supportive comments.

Today is going to be kind of hard only because of bad scheduling.. I have two appointments today. One is at 1, and I will have to leave work early for that one, hopefully returning before my shift ends. It's my annual (pap smear) so it's important that I go. The one bad thing about working 8-5 is that's generally the same hours as every known doctor, so I end up missing work for routine appointments like this. Anyway, since I woke up late I didn't have time to prepare a lunch or dinner to bring with me. So I'm planning for a Wendy's salad, but we'll see how it goes.

Today's Plan:
breakfast- 1 poptart
lunch- Wendy's Manderin Chicken salad
dinner- lean cuisine, salad, smartpop popcorn
snacks- 2nd poptart, apple, banana
exercise: 30 minutes Curves circuit, 30 minutes Gazelle (cardio)

the special k fruit crisps taste just like pop tarts, but have less calories... they also have bread that is only 35 calories and if you put fat free strawberry cream cheese on it, ... its a super quick, healthy breakfast food! :)

I love thoe Special K Fruit Crisps too. Both the strawberry and blueberry.

I've heard they are good! I just love my poptarts too much to give them up yet. They are easy and delicious. I do use low cal bread, though, when I make sandwiches.

Hmmmm... 21 days to put in a new habit? I like the sound of that, it sounds about right to me too. If you don't make it for any reason, just forgive yourself and try to start the cycle again the next day. Like they say, sometimes we need to fail a thousand times to succeed just once. Keep up the good work GG!
