Cannot seem to stick to anything lately. I haven't eaten on plan for more than a week (although my family is thrilled I am cooking again)
I want to eat like a "normal" person. I really do not think Atkins is the answer for me.
I am really not a runner either, never have been, so I must find something else.
I am not going to quit!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Hannahsmom. You, like myself, are not going to stick with something you really dislike doing. I did well on Atkins but really hated it. Now I pretty much just try not to go overboard on anything, but nothing is ruled out. I usually skip one meal per day, sometimes two, but I ALWAYS have dinner with my family and nothing is banned. As for exercise, I've been doing walk at home programs and pilates. Now, I haven't lost THAT much weight since starting this, partly because I took a couple of breaks on vacations. I've lost about 9 lbs, but my shape is back. I can't believe how different I look and I really believe it's the Pilates. I do not hate doing either of these exercises. I have a variety of them to choose from. Even "easy" pilates will work and it feels good, kind of like a good stretch. I just wanted to share this with you hoping it might help. I no longer believe you have to bust your behind doing extreme exercises you don't enjoy or cut out this or that macronutrient to lose weight. Good luck to you, I know you'll find your way.

With all the recipes available that i have tried out on friends and family I have a hard time believing you couldn't modify the Atkins lifestyle to yourselves. But I haven't never considered it a diet. I am sorry you had such a rough time. Good luck! Consider stopping by the chat room for support no matter what you are eating. wygal
