SailorEarth's Journal, 09 October 2017

My dad bought peanut butter and crackers. couldn't resist. I basically ate that every day for a week and didn't go to the gym at all for 2 weeks ( studying). I'm surprised that this is all I gained. went to the gym today. elliptical (30 min) and treadmill (1hr).

I am back on my feet.

not making weekly weight loss deadlines for myself because they make me overly anxious and I end up self-sabotaging.
I'm just taking every day one step at a time. I do have an over all deadline of weighing 120 by Jan 1 2018.

Self-confidence wise, i an having kind of a hard time. It's funny to say that I feel heavier now than I ever have before. I just feel so damn fat. My Orin gal weight loss goal was 125. The girls I know look so good at that weight. But I feel so big, I don't know if 15 pounds will make a difference. I have changed me goal to 115, tbh I feel like I might have to go down to 110. At 5' 3, this may be the best option. I'm a little fearful for my health. I know some girls that lost their period after getting under 114. I hope something like that wouldn't happen to me. I'll just have to wait and see what lies around the Bend.
138.4 lb Lost so far: 41.6 lb.    Still to go: 23.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

@SailorEarth, taking it one day at a time is excellent. Do not start to thing about, could've, would've and should've because then you'll start obsessing about you're weight again. Just keep taking it ONE day at a time. You've got this. 💃😄🍒

You'll recover from the peanut butter and crackers! I think it's difficult to know what your target weight should be unless you have a way to measure body fat %. Can you do that at your gym? It's probably not good for it to be too low, and might explain the problems your friends had. Take it slow and steady. Especially if you are concerned about losing too much too quickly. Good luck!

Everybody is a little different. One girl might look great at 125, another might look like there's some fat even at 115. You need to find what is right for you. Rather than focusing on weight/height, you might want to try measuring your body fat versus muscle and see what % of body fat you have. Many gyms have the kit to do this. That might help you set a healthy personal weight goal.

Listen to your conscious. People have always told me I look great and when I tell them how much I weigh they cant believe it. It may not show easily with clothes on but I know the real deal! They think I hide it well because of my height, but I don't want to hide!! I want to wear a swimsuit next summer and not see all the cellulite in my thighs or the excess fat in the middle! If you're not happy with your weight, probably best to do what will make you happy in the end. Good luck! 😊
