Hi! I'm 65, retired, and live in Michigan. In an earlier life, after my over-sized father passed, I started going to the gym regularly, fell in love with aerobics, and eventually started teaching aerobics. Step (now passe I guess) was my specialty. I got into pretty decent shape, but then I broke my leg in a silly accident, gave up teaching, slowly got back to my old bad habits, and put on a bunch of weight. I'm back to exercise and have sworn off my bad habits until I lose at least most of what I gained, and then plan/hope to monitor myself much more carefully!

What I like most about FatSecret is that it is easy to plan my meals and daily nutritional content in advance (as long as I am home and in control!). I'm glad I discovered it, and look forward to interacting and sharing tips/ideas with other FS members.

Quick and easy food suggestions
I think one of the keys is to plan your meals in advance, so that you can pre-cook or pre-measure things. So, for example, I made a batch of turkey meatballs and froze them. If I know I will have 4 oz the next day, I weigh out 4 oz worth and put them in the fridge the night before. If I know I will have salmon tomorrow, I put the frozen fillet in the fridge the night before and it takes 12 minutes to broil. I pre-cook my chicken. It's not as tasty as right off the grill or out of the oven, but it's fine on salads or re-heated in a stir fry. Pork tenderloin medallions take only a couple of minutes to pan fry ... ditto turkey burgers or lean beef burgers (I pre-measure 4 oz portions and freeze them individually, or buy already made 4 oz patties). Veggies cook quickly (and in most cases are probably even better raw). I'd love to hear from others on this, but at the end of the day, I think planning is the key.

Long Time
Alas, I also suffer from what most people would call an "obsessive" personality disorder. It don't matter .. good or bad .. if I do it . I do it in extremes. I totally empathize. I don't think there is anything I can do to "cure" myself of this problem, except to try to obsess over the diet/exercise part more often than the other part. At my physical, my doctor was very impressed/pleased with what I had accomplished .. but said something like "try not to turn into one of those obnoxious obsessive people that annoy us ordinary types" .. lol. Anyways .. good luck, and know that you have people here who understand EXACTLY what you are talking about!! I say .. go ahead and fall off the wagon once in a while! Just not for too long.

Phone App - Exercise tracking not available?
It's there, I promise!! Go to your food diary, and scroll down to the bottom .. and in a place that is easy to miss, you will see "Add Exercise/Sleep" (if you haven't previously entered anything on the website .. if you have, it will say "Calories Consumed"Wink. Click on that .. and lemme know if it works.

Itchy stretchmarks
I don't know about itchy, but a buddy here recommended Cetaphil as a way to perhaps enable my excess spare tire skin to shrink faster. I've been using it, and really like it! And I am seeing progress on my flaps. Don't know about itchy, but it's really good stuff and not too expensive.

Daily detail report
I can only find a way to print that level of detail for one day. On the website when you are in your food diary, there is a little print icon at the top bar where it shows your total calories and macros. If you print a day, you get the details of what you ate .. but if you print a day or a month you only get the calories and macros.
