Hello: Had a nice greasy cheesburger today. Every once in awhile I have to have one. I had cheddar cheese and musrooms with it. And, I added some fresh, tomatoes and cukes with balsamic.
Howveer, there is something missing. And, I know it's potatoes, like french fries. The cauliflower rice is good but not with this. I looked around and I see some recipes for jicama baked fries and butternut or swet potato.
The jicama looks carb safe (1/2 of small one about 7 net) and I tolerate butternut squash really well. I need to break out the mandolin and give it a whirl. Any tips appreciated.

have you tried making the cauliflower garlic bread? I found that really satisfied my starchy cravings.

Roasted (to crisp brown outsides) cauliflower works for me. It's high on carbs because so much water cooked out of it, and high in invisible fat but....

Last year, I got a protein style cheeseburger, can't remember where, and a piece of perfect fry about an inch long had landed on the plate. You can bet that I ate it and savored every minuscule bit. So, that's another option.
