That is it. I am quitting. I have tried for over 5 years and have just played with the same 5 pounds. I cannot even starve them off because my glucose levels bottom out.

I have had this headache for almost a year and there isn't any reason for it either. Doctor has run every test, even a ct scan and nothing shows up.

I am so fed up. 5 YEARS and no matter what I try the same old ?#^*. I may or may not be back.

Cleta, I ran acrossed your post this morning and I am sooo sorry. I totally feel for u. I have been staying at the same weight for about 14 yrs. now and I have been on a zillion diets. But I have been so miserable these past few months that my Dr. said to try to stay at 1200 - 1400 calories daily. I'm going to give it a whirl. Funny enough though, I've been with the Group since the 5th and have gained almost 3 lbs. Ugh. I wish you wouldn't get out of the Group because we could both be one another's support system.

Keto is the only thing that ever worked for me. I never count calories and I always lose weight. I lowered my carbs under 20 grams a day and I eat a high fat, medium protein, low carb diet. I highly recommend Dr Jason Fung's The Obesity Code. Truly an eye opener. You can do this! I've lost 100 pounds and I have 75 to go. :-) ~ Andi

Please look into amino acid supplementation for neurotransmitter replenishment. Weight gain, addiction, depression, allergies, and damn near everything else under the sun are tied to them. Aminos are the building blocks for your body. I started supplementation in May. By day three. I had increased energy. Popped up every day at 7am. No alarm clock (up today at 630). Appetite gone. Felt high on life. Happy. Clear bright skin by 15 days. Impulsive food cravings gone. Impulsive shopping gone (saved 2k in 2 months). Taste for booze eliminated. All of my bad behaviors and personality defects were eliminated. I went on vacay and didn't bring my aminos.... After a week, I was back to self medicating my neurotransmitter imbalance with drinking, spending money for the high, compulsive binge eating, back to grubhub etc. A switch literallly flipped on and then off. My body is not getting the nutrients it needs to make my neurotransmitters and keep my brain functioning properly. Needless to say, I will keep this up for the rest of my life, if I have to. The only will power involved was getting off of my ass and making aminos. Once i did that, everything else was effortless. Look into and see for yourself. Neuroscience is unlocking everything right now. We are converging on a point were we know that everythimg is brain chemistry.

Did your doctor check your thyroid? I am vegetarian on the Hypothyroidism revolution by Tom Brimeyer. If you are having other symptoms of hypothyroidism, your doctor should run blood tests for your thyroid hormone levels. Being cold all the time, weight gain, brittle nails, constipation, fatigue, weakness, hair loss for some people (not all).
