Had one of those, 'so this is why you're fat' moments of rediscovering my health/ nutrition issues. I thought I knew visual guides for portion sizing- especially for cheese- but it turns out I was grossly overestimating the size of 3 dominoes. Now that I have a better idea of what an actual serving size is I can't even begin to fathom how many calories I've consumed in cheese from the past year of gaining weight. Oh how I love cultured dairy products. Apparently they love me too, as evidenced by the extra pounds I've accrued from them. Alas, I will learn to eat in moderation. Just felt like journaling my "d'oh!" moment. Tomorrow's a new day and another chance to stay on track. Here's looking to a better week in portion control. I can do this. I just have to keep telling myself this- among other things- til I finally internalize and believe the attitudes that will help me overcome this weight loss struggle.

You can do this! It's all a learning experience. You've been doing great and there is only one direction anyway so you just keep going!

Lol, Sophie, cheese and nuts both for me! Thanks DLynne! This is DEFINITELY a learning experience. I think I can turn things around now for the better. Just had a momentary set back in the process of progress. :)

Wallice of Wallice and Gromet can relate I am sure! Cheeeeese! I have that visual thing to overcome too! My eyes always deceive me!
