Javadali's Journal, 23 February 2010

Hello FS!

No excuses except for not keeping up with the journals...except time! I never seem to have enough time. Since I can't sleep, thought I would take advantage of the rare moment! After feeling puny with bronchitis that seemed like FOREVER, I enrolled in a trial gym membership. It will be up this Saturday. I have enjoyed it but no weight loss - how and why does that happen when one sweats like a pig? Anyway, it is a time thing for me and it adds to my commute so I don't think I'll continue. In the whole process, I have found a new joy...the elliptical. Something that I think I would do on a regular basis (and hopefully won't turn into a quilt rack) so I'm starting to research various models.

One of these days I have high hopes of making it into the 150s! But for now, I think of the progress I've made this last year. Not great but not too bad for an old gal!

Have a fabulous day FS and keep focused! You will get there...just plug on! You can and will do it!

Best not to get a membership that one does not use, which is what happens to many of us. I do like the elliptical too but have a difficult time working out on them consistently. Good to see you back Javadali!

Well, you will weigh-in when you feel that it is right. Don't stay away for too long, we miss you!

Working out at a gym will eventually help you to lose weight, though it's not as direct as running or something aerobic. Building lean mass from working out will cause your body to burn more Calories at rest (which is a GREAT thing), it's just that you've gotta keep at it. Though if it's completely inconvenient for you, I guess that can't be helped. Anyway though, looking back at your history, I see you're at the lowest you've been since you've started! Great job! =) Can't wait for the day that you hit the 150s!
