RETHINKING AN REFUELING..goood saturday morning..been tossing around the idea of making muffins ahead an putting sausage an cheese on them an putting them in tin foil to take with me when i ride..doing a 12-14 hour fast an then riding while on that fast..i burn alotta calories an usually if i do more then an hour ride..by the second hour im needing fuel to keep the fire burning in my body..thinking i can take a snack or 2 with me to eat as i ride..an not bonk out{run out of energy} on my rides..with the heat we are having an the humidity..the energy level leaves right around an hour or mabye a little longer depending on the terrain of the ride..

keeping my carbs under 30 has been hard to do lately..but my body has been burning off the extra from riding..been eating a bannana before i ride along with drinking just enough coffee to add protein an creatine in to swallow an get out the door an do my rides..then taking 2 polar insulated bottles with fizz-electrolytes ..only problem is i need to increase the fizz..as one tab in each bottle just doesnt seem to be enough..my hands are cramping towards end of the rides..this week of riding has been a learning experience with the extreme heat an humidity..

eating low carb for me works..but at same time..salads no longer get me thru the day when i ride..im having to add some carbs in just to keep from being hungry an pacing the kitchen floor..each day is another day of learning what i can an cant have to keep the weight from slowly creaping back up..

todays a rest day..even though my mind has tried to get me to go out an do just a short ride of 5-10 miles..instead it turns into a 15-20 or more..im thinkin if i have to get my riding gear on..why not make the most of it..and i have to wear the gear..as it keeps my butt from chaffing..not a good thing..so...just gonna take it easy inside again today..heat advisory thats been in place since wednesday..is suppose to let up tonight..just means still hot but not as hot in the early morning hours..we need rain so bad..heard thunder yesterday afternoon..but rain was north an south of us..didnt do us any good..lawn hasnt been mowed in a week..grass is brown..o well..my coffee/protein is gone...time to get up an make breafast..would be nice just to fast all day...but being inside..an nothing to keep me entertained..probably not gonna happen..

alright on the tubes holding air...that always keeps you in a great mood when your not focused on whether it will hold air for the whole ride..glad you got a ride in..i almost went anyways..but knew if i wanted to ride tomow i needed to take the day off..the cooler weather is great..as long as its not down past 50..lol..in illinois..well..winter time is winter time..about like the heat time of the year..all you can do is look out the window an enjoy the inside..
