236.6, new low I am pretty sure! Good news. Brunch later.

Stress filled weeks lately at work. Nothing too major, just busy, and that makes me feel "agitated". Not sure why. I look forward to the days when it slows back down, and I can provide exceptional customer service to the fleet! And of course read my websites and chillax. Inspection is this week, which should go ok, then it should return to "normal".

A colleage of mine has been axed from his contract, well, the entire contract ended, so he is returning to the states for work. Its been a long time coming, he has been overseas like 15 years. He is a relatively new friend of mine though, so its an honor to be invited to his farewell brunch. He has teenagers just about the same ages as my kids. So, champagne brunch here we come! It usually ends in drunken debauchery, which hopefully for me will not include arguements or KFC. I have been a better boy lately when I get crazy. I opt for subway delivery now, we are so spoiled with food deliveries. I think if they had delivered Krispy Kreme or ice cream, i would probably still be getting fatter and ordering in.

Wife is leaving Tuesday for 5 weeks. Usually that used to mean I went out pubbing a whole lot more, and ate more KFC! Not this time. I will eat lighter dinners as I dont have to worry about family. 14YO Son is staying with me though, so hopefully I can make him a sandwich or something, and me a light dinner. That should be the only meal. Now his Mom spoils him and makes his cereal and toast for him for breakfast (Really???). I already told him that sh*t aint happening! lol

Speaking of breakfast, made a nice western omellete for me and the wife, and had a little OK. Its now 10AM, and the Brunch is 1230ish. I should be able to hold out.

At Brunch, we usually eat and drink until about 3, then adjourn to the interconnecting pubs. They have an open vodka bar, and free flowing champagne and beers. The food is just So-So. Nothing majorly great. Like at a hotel.. Once in a while you find a treasure. Usually I get chicken and rice type stuff, and stay relatively healthy. They dont exactly have a bunch of fried stuff, which is good. The desserts are "just ok" too, so I may have a small plate of fruit or pie.

I demanded the wife stock the house with healthy foods yesterday (/smirk). This way Saturday we arent hungover calling KFC! lol, see, it all works out. Seriously, the call usually goes to McDonalds on those days, and I am not saying it will not happen, but now we have our bets hedged against it.

Thanks an awesme gratification list! Now, why do sandwiches for your son? Will healthier food kill him? :) 5 weeks is plenty of time to adjust to a new life style. I say involve him instead.

YAY! NEW LOW! As for 14 yr old... why is he not making food himself? I have a 13 yr old daughter, I have started having her make dinner for her and her lil sis. She enjoys it (possibly) and it means I don't have to worry about them. It's easy stuff like Gordons fish and rice a roni and a veg-peas and carrots usually. Nothing too complicated. But she has helped cook and bake on and off since she was little. He needs to learn to take care of himself properly now... show him how to do it the right way!! Besides, it could be a fun thing for you to do together. Either way, have a great weekend!

I've been doing my part to help you catch up to me...34oz beer yesterday, 2 donuts today..."gitter done" buddy...as for the son, sounds like mom pampers him quite a bit, so good luck with that one...but I say include him in the food choice and get him to help you prepare it, never hurts to inform him on how to eat healthy and why it is important...although my 13yo daughter is quite finicky about what she will and will not eat...damn teens!! Don't forget to drink a pile of water before crashing tonight...hangover is more dehydration than anything else...but remember, this "nicey nice" crap is done on Saturday...excuse time will be over (for both of us)...Later.
