Don't give up. If you do, your giving up on yourself. It's hard but you'll get there.

I guess you have to decide what you want more of, counting calories or being fat. By the way, that sounded harsh but I have exactly the same struggle.

I have been there. I have tried many diets and nothing I mean nothing worked!! Until I tried the Ketogentic way of life. It's so much more than a diet. It retrains your way of thinking and how your body works. Best part you are never hungry!!

Been there, done that! I know exactly how you feel. The great thing is that today is a brand new day!!! You can't go back and fix yesterday, but you can make all the "todays" better!! (((HUGS)))

I never thought I would be in control of food (52 yrs old) but it took about 5-6 weeks of being -->faithful<-- to LCHF/ketogenic diet (20 TOTAL CARBS a day NOT NET CARBS) and once I became what I refer to as "fat-adapted"(my body adjusted to using ketones for fuel rather than glucose) my cravings and previously uncontrollable hunger was tamed and I am now in control of food for the first time in my adult life! When I started LCHF/Ketogenic diet I was using 6-8 units of Humulin R after every meal and sometimes needed boosters of it...3 days into this way of eating I no longer needed Humulin R sliding scale because my levels never got close to 200 the point I was instructed to use 2 units for every 50 points my glucose was over 200. I also used 60 units of Levemir insulin twice a day (morn/bedtime) now I take 60 units of Levemir insulin once at night now. I still take metformin 3x a day. I was on lisinopril 20 mg once a day now lowered to 10 mg once a day. My blood sugar stays mostly somewhere in ranges of 70-90 now even after eating and I have lost 45.2 lbs. lbs in 107 days on LCHF/Ketogenic diet. (At 52 years old, hysterectomy in 2009, T2D, and a lot of health problems I wasn't expecting this kind of wonderful/amazing results!)

be aware that first few weeks if you decide to go with this type of eating plan to make sure your electrolytes stay normal or you will suffer keto flu. Also, don't start until you have discussed with your doctor LCHF/ketogenic diet to make sure you have no pre-existing health conditions that could cause complications.
