I'm ridiculously happy today...it's V day!...My day to celebrate loving myself! Schmaltzy - Yes...but after spending oh too long not tending to my needs, it's such a big success to celebrate all my hard work of staying focused and committed to me.

Did some serious hiking and walking yesterday, kept my food intake under control, actually low AND rewarded myself with two Pacifico's yesterday, cause it was such a wonderful sunny day at Mavericks surf contest! I met a sweet, engaging man...yes a bit of a nut, but all around it was so nice to be paid attention to in such an overt way. Professing to everyone on our hill...oh some 300 people that he was taking me to dinner, after the contest. It was sweet the way he did it!

So I managed to lose another half a pound this morning. I'm living proof of why you should take care to keep your weight in check, especially when you're young and never have problems taking off weight. Up until my kids, it never was a struggle, I was always HWP. After my son, I moved up to the high side for my height, but after my daughter 10 years later and not realizing I was in a miserable marriage and working for "the man", I began to just lose all sight of what I was putting in my mouth. Sure I could always exercise more...the problems began with one injury after another...it would derail me...then the cycle would start...all because I couldn't look at myself or my life. Okay so I'm also living proof denial is not just a river that flows through Egypt! +buh-dmp-bum*
