This is really bad... I hate it, I hate the scale... I hate my period, hate food... I hate it all.. and hate my stomach cramps and unable to do #2 properly for over a week now.. Grrrrrrrr!!! So f*in frustrating!!!!!
I haven't had such a high weigh-in since December!!! OMG!!!
I am not eating so bad, I am still going to gym... this is making me nervous!! I hope it's because of my period, but usually it's about 2lbs up, not 4lbs!!! Arghh!! I'm gonna do some extreme diet menu for the next week and hit the gym as usually and see... this sucks... :(

It will be OK Mirej! 2 or 4 pounds gain when your period is coming is "normal". Don't take extreme decisions about your diet. you need energy to go to the gym and starving yourself won't be any help. If you gained weight since you started to eat hummus, maybe it's a response from your body, that doesn't tolerate chickpeas or tahini. Constipation is another sign that there is something wrong with your eating... try cooked spinach they can help to make you go. This week I found that unsweetened shredded coconut is almost a laxative for me. I ate a tablespoon at night, result were obvious the next morning. Mirej your gain is not fat, it's a digestive issue that you will fix soon.

Lol... thank you Anne & Glen... I feel much better ... whew! relieved a little. I will try different things. I actually saw the gain before I eat hummus I don't think it is that. It's really my digestive system that has an issue. I will not starve myself, sounds too harsh after all the efforts to lose weight and get where I'm at now. I will just take it easy but I must be careful. I do need energy for gym, right on!! Thanks guys again! Big hugs to you two!! :)

No, of course you shouldn't fast if you feel there is anything that is not quite right. I too agree with Anne that you should boost the *fiber* by eating vegetables of different kinds and I believe that her last sentence may be spot on. Five pounds is no big deal at all mirej, you know how to take care of it. This is not a big deal at all so don't worry. x

Wait until its over.. My period had me gain 3 lbs in a week.. and it wasnt fun.. I was up set! IT jes looks bad on the scale!

Yea it went a bit down now... but I have 4 lbs to lose to get to my goal...
