Jill-gill's Journal, 05 February 2010

I made myself beefburgers from mince and I still feel a bit sick. Why did I eat so much. One would have been quite sufficent! I have managed about 70 fl oz of water today. I know that I have too , I have spent half the day on the damn toilet. Its hard to drink loads of water when you have an irritable bladder! And its all B%%^%cks that cutting out caffiene and spicy food would help cos on this diet I dont have any of that!
Anyway - I am going to have a mid week weigh in tommorrow ! I have decided. I am getting worried about all these stories of people who lose a load in the first 2 weeks and then gain some back while still doing the diet. Just becuse they aren't getting enough fat or calories. Why is there such a fine line and how are you supposed to keep up with it all the time.?

No need to cut out spicy food if you can do it low-carb. Spicy food is great. Jill, if someone stays on the nutritional plan they shouldn't gain weight back. Gaining a pound or two doesn't count as our body weight constantly fluctuates due to water retention. People don't tend to gain if they don't get enough calories, but they do stall if they don't get enough calories. I highly suggest that you post on the atkins board, www.atkins.com. That board has tons of people that that can help you with any questions you have.

Also, I found that as I continued with the nutritional plan, my calories increased naturally. As you loose weight, you become more active. As you become more active, you naturally want more calories. When I started I was averaging 1300/day. Now I average 1700/day, and the difference is due to exercise.
