Different homemade fruit salad for dinner today it has Jicamas, watermelon, Cantaloupe, fresh squeezed Lime Jiuce, and Chile piquin.

I never thought of adding Jicama to a fruit salad before or chilies, hmm? Not sure my tummy would take the chilies unless I did a bit of sirachi but the jicama, yeah!

I'm with Smprowett. I've never added jicama to my fruit salads before, but now that you've mentioned it, I should! I really like jicama and think it would be a great crunchy addition. I especially love chile and lime with fruit, so I'm sure I would have liked your dinner quite a bit :)

OMG jicama's with Tajin Chile powder are my favorite!

A little not on Jicama, I slice them up and keep mine in 25% vinegar and 75% water and add a few drops of hot sauce to it to a a ready low cal snack when I want it. It keeps in the fridge for a week. I sometimes add a touch of salt also.

It is very yummy the Jicama in frut salad. I learned that while I was in Mexico. I have a lot of friends from Mexico. I also only use fresh fruits. I don't buy precut or frozen fruits. I cut everything up myself.

i came here to be anorexic i am twelve my gaol is to be 80 pounds any advice i know i have to rectrict my calories from 2000 to only in the 200-300 range

I wamt to be 80 pounds so badly i am only twelve and falling into the idea of anorexia i only eat throu the 100-500 caloier range ay advise on how to do it properly

@Firecandy66 - Anorexia is a very serious illness with very high mortality rate. I strongly doubt that you came here to learn how to become ill. If you have eating disorder, you need to seek professional help from a doctor and support from your parents and relatives while you still can. We are here to help each other heal and become healthy and reach healthy weight. If you want to learn how to eat healthy, choose good exercise program and stay healthy for life, FS is a good place. Please adjust your goals to be healthy. As you are still growing your goal should be to build strong bones and muscles for life, not to starve yourself and get ill. Wishing you a very long and fulfilling life. Please, change your priorities.

Firecandy66, Ingria is right! You need to build strong bones and muscles and cells. You need to eat! Eat lots of fruits and vegetable, learn to cook, eat at same time everyday whether you are really hungry or not, go to bed and get sleep. Don't screw up your metabalism because you will! and you will! be ill. Start yoga or dance class, eat and try to be happy. Sending lots of love, Carolena

Girlychic, jicama, (pronounced hik- ama, or called yambean) is a Mexican tuber (I believe) that tastes somewhat similar to a cross between a raw white potato and water chestnuts and has the same crunch and is slightly sweet. It is high fiber and low calories and you peel it before you eat it. I've only ever eaten it raw in salads and such until I tried the baked chip experiment with it and it didn't dehydrate very well before it burned. 😩
